Dr. Ghods was born and raised right here in Phoenix, and nothing makes her happier than serving her neighbors and friends! For her, being an exceptional dentist means working with each patient to help them achieve their personal health goals. Throughout her years in the dental field, that’s continued to be one of her favorite aspects of her job. She would love to meet you in person at your next visit, but until then, don’t hesitate to read on to learn all about why she became a dentist, where she completed her studies, and more.
Dr. Ghods’ inspiration was someone very close to her: her grandfather. When he lost all his teeth, she saw firsthand the difficulty he had eating. It was at that moment that she realized she wanted to help him and other patients struggling with decayed, damaged, or missing teeth. She loves the immediate gratification dentistry has. In short, helping patients achieve healthy, happy smiles that both look great and function optimally is extremely rewarding for her.
Before entering dental school, Dr. Ghods spent time volunteering in non-profit dental centers, like CASS. Serving the homeless population and seeing the transformative effects of good dental care further solidified her passion for dentistry. Born and raised in Arizona, it was only natural for her to complete her studies at Arizona State University and AT Still University. Since then, she has completed continuing education courses on a wide range of topics, including implant placement. Furthermore, she is laser and BOTOX® certified.
Dr. Ghods has many interests outside of dentistry. One of her favorite things to do is spend time with her professional friends at local restaurants, cafes, and donut shops (donuts are her favorite!). She also enjoys cooking and hiking. In fact, she’s hiked pretty much all of the McDowell hikes.
